WH Question Words

what อะไร - ใช้ถามเกี่ยวกับข้อมูลของสิ่งของ คน  และใช้ถามเวลา
  คนนั้นชื่ออะไร  What's his name?  ตอบ Tom.
ดินสอสีอะไร  What is the pencil's color? ตอบ Blue.
                 ในกระเป๋ามีอะไร  What are in the bag? ตอบ Just some books.
                 มันคืออะไร  What is it?  ตอบ It's a temple.
                 เธอมีอาชีพอะไร What do you do? ตอบ I'm a teacher.
                  - ใช้ถามเวลา  เช่น
                 ตอนนี้เวลาอะไร  what time is it now? ตอบ 7 O'clock.


when เมื่อไร- ใช้ถามข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับเวลา เช่น
              เขาไปพัทยาเมื่อไร  When does he go to Pattaya? ตอบ Next week.
                 เมื่อไรเธอจะเริ่มอ่านหนังสือ When do you start to read books?  ตอบ Tonight.
                 เด็กๆจะไปสวนสาธารณะเมื่อใด When do the children go to the park ? ตอบ On this weekend.

where ที่ไหน- ใช้ถามข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับตำแหน่งหรือสถานที่ เช่น
            โรงเรียนของเธออยู่ที่ไหน Where is your school? ตอบ On Silom Rd.
                  เธอเรียนอยู่ที่ไหน Where do you study?  ตอบ University of Florida.
                 โทรศัพท์มือถือของคุณพ่ออยู่ที่ไหน Where is daddy's mobile phone?  ตอบ On that table.

         
who  ใคร   - ใช้ถามเกี่ยวกับบุคคล เช่น
ใครอยู่ในรูปภาพนี้ Who is in the picture? ตอบ It's me.
                  เธอไปตลาดกับใคร Who go to the market with you? ตอบ My mother and my sister.

why ทำไม - ใช้ถามเพื่อหาเหตุผล คำตอบส่วนใหญ่จะมีคำว่า เพราะว่า (Because) เช่น
    ทำไมเธอไปเซ็นทรัล Why do you go to Central?  ตอบ Because I want to buy new shoes.

how อย่างไร - ใช้ถามเกี่ยวกับความรู้สึก อาการ สภาพ เช่น
   เธอเป็นไงบ้าง How are you? ตอบ I'm fine.  ,  I'm ok. , I'm all right.,  I'm sick., Not well
                     งานเธอเป็นอย่างไรบ้าง  How is  your work? ตอบ  It's done.
                     ผลสอบของเขาเป็นอย่างไร   How was his exam? ตอบ  Very good.

how many เท่าไร - ถามจำนวน ใช้กับนามนับได้ เช่น
มีหนังสือกี่เล่มในกระเป๋าของเธอ How many books are in your bag? ตอบ Five
            เธอมีพี่ชายกี่คน How many brothers do you have? ตอบ None.
            มีน้ำกี่แก้วบนโต๊ะ How many glasses of water are on the table? ตอบ Twelve glasses of water.

how much เท่าไร - ถามจำนวน ราคา ใช้กับนามนับไม่ได้ เช่น
                 อันนี้ราคากี่บาท How much is it? ตอบ 10 Baht.
                 หล่อนนำเงินไปโรงเรียนกี่บาทวันนี้ How much money does she bring to school today? ตอบ 100 Baht.
                 มีน้ำตาลในถุงเท่าไร How much sugar is in the bag? ตอบ 1 Kilograme.
